Naples Deep Sea Fishing

Our new 36 foot deep sea sportfisherman, is recognized as the premier multi-passenger Naples Deep Sea Sportfishing Charter Boat in southwest Florida. We have been operating private deep sea fishing charters for groups of 6 and up to 12 passengers  for 23 years.

The Alabama is also equipped with the latest in electronics including two fishfinders and two global positioning devices to make certain that we are always where the fish are. Onboard you will find plenty of comfortable seating as well as a private restroom. When you are back at the Naples City Boat Dock the day’s catch is cleaned and bagged at no charge.

What type of fish do we catch?

Although we specialize in catching Grouper and Snapper, we also have many sunken ship wrecks that we built to fish for Cobia, Permit, Barracuda, and Jewfish which are catch and release only. Many of these spots are known only to us and the catches often reflect that.

We are now in our summer fishing patterns here in Naples. When we travel out deep sea fishing we know that several species of fish are available to us in the summer, including king mackerel, mangrove snapper, barracuda, Goliath grouper and most importantly red grouper.

There are several different methods we employ to catch red grouper but the main key is to get them biting. Grouper, like many other fish, can be pack feeders. When one eats, often times all the others, in the area feel like they have to eat as well. That is the reason you often catch red grouper so full you have to wonder where they would have stored your bait had they not been caught.

We have several different techniques to try and start a feeding frenzy with grouper. Sometimes soft baits or chum will get the small fish biting and draw the bigger fish. Grouper are also instinct feeders so jigs ripped off the bottom will also work on occasion.

There are other ways to fire up grouper but the main idea is to get them biting and then get ready for fast and furious action.

I wanted to say what a great time our family had with our fishing trip. Jim and Capt Jeff were great. Our family felt comfortable and well educated on our trip. The guys worked hard. Snapper fishing in Naples FL

Fishing remains very good on our sportfishing charters out of Naples, Florida. The Grouper are biting very good and Mangove Snapper fishing has remained very solid all year. The king mackerel were very late arriving in Naples this season but the bite has been very good for the last couple of weeks. We are taking kings up to 30 pounds using Drone or Captain Action 5 1/2″ silver spoons or flat lining live baits back to the schools of fish. Fishing should remain very good as the permit and red grouper become more active.
