Our new 36 foot deep sea sportfisherman, is recognized as the premier multi-passenger Naples Deep Sea Sportfishing Charter Boat in southwest Florida. We have been operating private deep sea fishing charters for groups of 6 and up to 12 passengers  for 23 years.

The Alabama is also equipped with the latest in electronics including two fishfinders and two global positioning devices to make certain that we are always where the fish are. Onboard you will find plenty of comfortable seating as well as a private restroom. When you are back at the Naples City Boat Dock the day’s catch is cleaned and bagged at no charge.

What type of fish do we catch?

Although we specialize in catching Grouper and Snapper, we also have many sunken ship wrecks that we built to fish for Cobia, Permit, Barracuda, and Jewfish which are catch and release only. Many of these spots are known only to us and the catches often reflect that.

Chris Dowson, his sons Adam and Cole enjoyed a great family fishing trip while on spring break in Naples. Fishing about 15 miles in the Gulf of Mexico for king mackerel the guys also had time to do a little sportfishing for barracuda and cobia. The king fishing has been very good but is just beginning to cool off as the waters continue to warm. As the waters around Naples are warming it brings in all the bait fish, which means the grouper are soon to follow.

As spring break in Naples, FL starts winding down our deep sea fishing remains red hot. We took these young anglers out for a 1/2 day fishing charter recently and they caught a large variety of fish including mangrove snapper, grouper, porgie and sheepshead. Most of these fish are caught on light tackle which makes it easy for the kids and allows the fish to provide a great battle for all. We believe the fishing, especially grouper, will continue to improve as the waters of the Gulf of Mexico continue to warm up.

Jim and Mark Russell were out on a fishing charter here in Naples with us this week and caught king mackerel up to 40 pounds, two Goliath Grouper over 200 pounds, an eight foot long bull shark and a six foot Blacktip Shark. After catching all these fish off of one spot they and their father and grand father had enough, and came home early and exhausted.

Spring fishing is the absolute best time for variety and numbers of fish in the Naples and southwest Florida area. As the weather heats up the fishing keeps getting hotter.
