Catches continue to be very good on our fishing charters from Port of Call marina in Naples. Mangrove snapper and Amberjack are being caught every day using live shrimp and Pinfish on the offshore reefs and ledges. Gag grouper season is closed in February, and the fish seem to know they will be released, so they happily eat everything we send down on a hook. We are catching 8-10 fish up to 20 pounds on most full day charters in addition to the mangroves. They to are falling for the live baits, especially Pinfish. King Mackerel are showing up and will arrive in big numbers over the next full moon. Weather conditions have been tough but the winds are now calm and the weather is beginning to warm up as much as the fishing.
